The Mini-PLUS is a power adapter cable that allows you to plug an appliance with a 16Amp caravan plug into a regular 10Amp domestic wall socket. The adapter is designed and made in Australia to AS/NZS standards and approved for use in New Zealand. The Mini-PLUS has IP44 for use outdoors and includes a 10A MCB to protect against overcurrent. It is not possible or advisable to draw more than 10A through the Mini-PLUS and we recommend maximum 8A for any sustained loads over many hours.
Safety Note:
The first predecessor to Mini-PLUS (the “Mini-BLU”) was originally designed for use with EV charging cables, but this use is no longer approved by WorkSafe – see updated copy of the EV Charging Safety Guidelines. The Mini-PLUS is approved for use with other appliances utilising a caravan plug and drawing up to 10A maximum, but as with using any power cables outside we advise common sense and caution.

This adapter allows for 10A of charging current and has a MCB current breaker switch inbuilt to safely charge EV batteries from a normal power plug.
NB: This device will not convert 16A to 10A.
